Official Contest Rules

This contest is open to everyone! Whether you are a seasonal campground guest, a visitor to the Canyon Creek community, or a member of our awesome campground staff, we want you to participate.

• Submission: The timeframe for uploading photos is from Wednesday, July 1, 2026 to Sunday, August 30, 2026.

• Voting: The timeframe for viewing and upvoting photos is from Tuesday, September 1, 2026 to Saturday, September 15, 2026.

Up to five photo submissions are allowed per contestant. Any additional photos a contestant uploads beyond the initial five will be disallowed from the contest.

CCRA enforces a limit of one $100 prize per contestant. If a contestant has more than one top-voted submission, the most-voted photo will be declared the winner.

Photo submissions can be in any or all of the following four categories:

• Fishing: Big catches, first casts, and epic lakeside action

• Camping: Cozy campfires, perfect tent setups, and family smiles

• Beach Fun: Sandcastles, splashing in the water, and soaking up the sun

• Wildlife: Our beautiful furry or feathered neighbours (captured from a safe distance)

To keep our gallery family-friendly and fair, please ensure your entries meet the following criteria:

• Be Original: Photos must be original shots taken by you, showcasing an outdoor exploration, fishing expedition or camping experience.

• Respect Privacy & Consent: No trademarked logos or copyrighted materials. By submitting your photo, you guarantee that you have obtained the explicit approval of all recognizable people in the image, including the permission of a parent or legal guardian for any children featured.

• Keep it Clean: Submissions containing profanity, vulgarity, offensive symbols, or depictions of drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol will be automatically disqualified.

• High-Res Ready: While compressed files are fine for the initial website upload, you must be able to provide a high-resolution version of the image if you are selected as a winner. Ideally, you can upload a high-quality photo to begin with.

• Browse the Galleries: From September 1 to September 15, 2026, you can browse all the photo entries in four categories on this website.

• Cast Your Votes: By clicking the heart icon underneath a photo that you like, you enter your vote for it. You can "heart" as many photos as you like.

• One Vote per Photo Per Day: You can only vote for the same photo once every 24 hours (based on your IP address). This restriction is in place to minimize irregularities and keep the voting process fair.

• The 72-Hour Clock: If your photo wins, CCRA will contact you via your provided contact information. You must respond within 72 hours of our first attempt, or the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

• The Paperwork: Selected winners will be required to sign and return a standard declaration and release form confirming eligibility and rule compliance.

• Promotional Rights: By entering, you grant CCRA an irrevocable, worldwide right to use, reproduce, modify, and display your entry in any media format to promote our camping and public access programs, without financial compensation or further approval. Entrants completely waive all claims of moral rights.

• Liability Waiver: By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless the campground, its management, affiliates, and associated social media platforms from any claims, losses, personal injury, or property damage resulting from capturing your photo or participating in this contest. CCRA is not responsible for technical malfunctions or lost/delayed entries.
